I'm not sure where to start. This is one of the worst books I've ever read. There is nothing redeeming about this story other than the gorgeous cover. Whether it was because of the glorification of violence against young women, the overplayed damsel in distress tropes, the complete lack of a plot, the increasingly nonsensical story lines, or the laughable attempts at tying up loose ends, I was unable to understand how this book has so many good reviews. The inagery would make for a great movie, but for me,this book was a complete waste of time. It was clearly written by someone religious attempting to write a dark story playing on themes of bodily sacrifice, loyalty, true love, and pain. I hughly recommend reading anything else. Literally anything.
