This is very pretty and lightweight. I enjoyed it for the length of time the original batteries lasted. (Two or three months? Decent , considering i had it on a fair amount of time.) Today I went to change the batteries with Duracell batteries I just bought at a local pharmacy chain, so they weren't old, or seconds, etc. While struggling to put the cover back on, I noticed - thank god! - that the whole thing was becoming very hot and there was a smell that hadn't been there. I pulled out the batteries and the center one was so hot it burned my fingers and the casing had melted. If I had walked away and left this, there would have been a fire. BE AWARE!!
