Wow, the reviews were true....this WAS the worst Star Wars film to date. And here’s why. We have ships running out of fuel. How many times in the previous seven movies did that happen? They base over half of the plot line on that?!! Then we have the First Order ships suddenly running slower than the rebel ships. They can run light speed, but suddenly they’re slower. Alrighty then. Then we have the penultimate scene of Rey about to hand Luke his own lightsaber in The Force Awakens. Build up our hopes, then smash them with Luke tossing said lightsaber over a cliff in this movie. And let’s not forget Leia trying to prove that you CAN apparently survive for longer than a few seconds floating around in space at -200 degrees...and that’s after enduring the massive explosion that blew a hole in the bridge she was standing on. I sat through this God awful movie twice trying to like it. There won’t be a third time. I forgave them for killing off Han in The Force Awakens, but this latest trash is unforgivable. And certainly not worth what they’re charging for the blu-ray. It actually makes me want to watch Jar Jar Binks to remember the happier times.....and that’s not a compliment.
