Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I searched amazon intending to buy a pogo stick for my 6 year old son, and came across this. Given the effusive reviews, I decided to try it out, figuring my younger boys would enjoy it too. What a mistake. It's essentially a foam block that you stand on and jump while holding onto the stretchy handles--totally boring! My kids tried it out, all excited, and got bored within 30 seconds. I've tried it too (it supports a wide range of weights) and each time I think, "this is it???" I honestly don't get the appeal. It doesn't bounce you any higher than jumping on the ground with shoes. I usually put a lot of faith in Amazon reviews, but this pogo jumper has me wondering either 1) what am I missing? or 2) who are all these reviewers giving rave reviews?? This toy was a total dud. It will go to charity and I'll buy a real pogo stick instead.
