The cooler gets 5 stars, but the cord gets a 1 star. The other reviewers who rated this cooler and said it only lasted a day or less were probably having the same issue with the cord, it's not made heavy enough to support the cooler. The lighter plug gets so hot, it melts the spring in the tip. My original cord lasted less than a month. When I unplugged it, it was so hot, the tip on the plug blistered my finger,not long after, it melted the spring tip. I had to order a new cord from Igloo at a cost of over $30 (Amazon doesn't sell them). That cord lasted less than a week. Igloo needs to recall the cords. The best fix is to buy a heavy duty replacement plug at Radio Shack and repair it yourself. Igloo should be ashamed.
