If you own a small business, do not buy this laser. It cannot handle more than light usage - despite it's look and feel. By light usage I mean 30 mins to 1.5 hours a day. I was using mine around 2 to 3 hours a day and it died in six months. Despite having their cloud software that supposedly facilitates remote troubleshooting, Glowforge has been unable to give any real support, and as mentioned by some other customers, their customer service is virtually non existent. I have no idea how this product's reviews remain so high. In addition, you have to keep the original packaging in order to ship the laser back to them should anything go wrong - this is a ridiculous proposition and I hope someone on the Glowforge management team wakes up and realises that their 100lb laser is a pain for customers to ship. When I first received my Glowforge, like everyone else I was in awe of what could be done with it, however six months later, I just want to warn everyone to consider other options - especially young businesses that may not be able to throw away $3995.
