Second one to fail in a year!
So I purchased this from a recommendation because someone noticed that you can swap the batteries. I purchased this and within three months something was wrong. I had only used it twice, kept it indoors, etc. I normally treat my property nicely.
Had it tested and sure enough it was not the battery but the electronics. So I had to pay to ship it back. Sure enough it cost around $30 to ship via UPS back to the manufacturer. After waiting two months and calls and emails, a new one finally arrived at my door.
So now this is April (six months after my original purchase) and I have a new one. I am all excited. I charge it and left it in the basement in a corner. The basement is finished, and also I have a dehumidifier as well as central air, so it is a clean basement.
In August I go to test it and see if it is working as I am getting out the ATVs and decided to charge it as I had not used it at all. Sure enough, it will not charge. I did not have time to deal with it and so I wait until after I have a lull in time and after Labor Day I contact the manufacturer again. I have to mail it back again.
Now I have purchased this an extra charger and mailed this back once. This thing is costing me about $200 with a pretty bad failure rate. Now it is just out of warranty and I have decided that I am not going to send it back as I am starting to feel that it is cheaper to buy any cheap one as if it works for a year, it will have done more than this one has.
Would I consider this reliable as if I was in the middle of nowhere and needing it to start a battery? I would not recommend this to anyone.
