I have four cats and a Min Pin. The dog found this to be an interesting toy. The cats sat nearby and watched the bird toy. There is an annoyingly loud mechanical mechanism that bring the toy in and out. It is louder than the bird chirps. I think my cats were unimpressed. In under five minutes they had all decided the Amazon box was much more entertaining! Also at some point when it was off either the dog or the cats shredded the feather toy and pulled out most of the feathers so not well constructed overall.
