I’ve had the diffuser for a little over a year now and I’m discounted in the overall quality of the product. The light makes a very high pitched whining sound when on (hello tinnitus) and the top plastic portion has somehow melted and fused to the bottom portion of the diffuser?? I’m not even sure how? The lights don’t get hot at all. The top shell portion has also degraded and “melted” taking on a sticky texture and when I’ve gone to clean it the plastic stretches and warps. I used a warm wash cloth. Perhaps the essential oils are corrosive... regardless it bums me out. Recently the motor on the diffuser has started to give out. For the price I’d say this is not a good deal. When I purchased it the diffuser cost me around $80. I expected it to work much longer than a year. I haven’t misused it in its time with me. No dropping or overfilling of the water reservoir etc.
