NOT Taurine.
I do not believe this product is actually taurine. Taurine is supposed to be water soluble at about 50 mg/ml. The powder inside the capsule weighs out to 960 mg (not 1000 mg), and it does not dissolve in water. Even with as little as 10 mg/ml the taurine still did not dissolve. Either this is not taurine, or there are undisclosed fillers inside the capsule. If there are undisclosed fillers then the true amount of taurine in the capsule is far below 1000 mg. I will steer clear of this brand in the future.
Edit: I ordered the NOW brand taurine and it dissolved in water with no problems. The contents of the capsule was also over 1000 mg to account for some fillers. The Nutricost brand is either not taurine, or there are some serious quality control problems happening.
