While I initially liked this item with the exception of being delivered with dings or scratches, it didn't take long for me to regret my purchase. The inside isn't finished/coated to prevent rusting like the outside. I really like the size, shape, and functionality but this is a huge manufacturer's defect. If you're going to produce a trash can and it fills with rust when used, you have an ethical responsibility to let consumers know so they don't feel like they've been scammed/ripped-off. I have previously bought Amazon Basics products such as a fan that was good quality, however this product is certainly not on that list. As a manufacturer, you have a responsibility to replace and or refund the purchase price for items that have design flaws and don't work. There should be a disclaimer that states that this trash can is ONLY for dry items with zero moisture and can't be placed in a room where there is moisture, such as a bathroom or kitchen, to prevent the interior lid from rusting.
