died after 3 months
I can not believe this hard drive died after 3 months, tried all the power on 15 minutes etc. No good results. READ THE WARRANTY!!!!! Ship it back to them at your cost, they will determine what is wrong, you can pay to have it shipped back to you....Here is the bigger issue, say they have a "trick" to get the unit running, I don't want my data in their hands! So my solution is to purchase a Samsung EVO 860 (I have several, only purchased the crucial as it was supposed to be top knotch and it was cheaper) drill a hole in the crucial and to the trash it goes. My loyalty is to Samsung and will NEVER waiver again. You may say, it was one hard drive, YEP one hard drive failed in 3 months and my Samsung's don't fail. I am not oblivious to the fact one of the Samsung hard drives will fail but not after 3 months....and there will be signs of impending disaster to get my data off the drive. The Crucial drive, had a lot of personal data that I would have loved to keep but is now gone. I usually back my drives up every 3 months or after significant amounts of need to keep data is on the drive. But be honest with yourself, Would you think a new Crucial drive would fail after 3 months and when you start looking for troubleshooting information and the internet (leading to crucial forums) is littered with "when your crucial drive fails" would suggest there is not a problem? If you have a Crucial drive and it works forever GREAT! Mine did not and I won't be a crucial customer anymore!
