I bought the 411 and the 211+ to help with my son's allergies. The 411 went into the bedroom and the 211 went into my living room. Immediately after I turned on the 211 at 7pm, it emitted a HORRIBLE CHEMICAL SMELL. Like plastic dying. I also was getting a headache so I told my husband to shut it off after 2 hours of use. Came downstairs in the morning and it smelled like POOP. Legitimately like our dogs had pooped everywhere. We checked everywhere for poop (we keep the dogs crated at night) there was none to be found. We walked over to the turned off air filter and it was horrible. I packed it right back up in the box and set it aside and had to open all my windows to get rid of the odor. Skunk mixed with poop. For the amount of money this thing costs and the research I did I am livid. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS AIR PURIFIER. With all this being said, and having to use some plug ins to get the smell out, it's still there, btw. The 411 smaller unit works well. If this one was the same I would have been so happy. But it made my house smell worse than it's ever smelt. Regrets.
