It should have occurred to me - I used a spray bottle to try to curb cat's behavior, and then I bought a spray bottle of cleaner. That didn't work. Later, I poured cleaner into my hand and rubbed on fur then brushed. Still not very effective because the spray stays on top layer of fur. (And can't spray into my hand near him because sound makes him run.) He smelled nice and loved being brushed, but not sure how effective this is. I bought to help remove dander, but it was just a topical basically and never reached into the fur. Waste of money IMO. And in case you're wondering - the water spray bottle trick didn't affect his behavior. He just ran away when he saw me reach for the bottle, but never stopped his bad-boy ways. So in the end, I have a bad-boy who smells good, just like some guys I've dated.
