Roku is the anti-Christ
I think it's absolutely ridiculous that a company forces you to enter your credit card information even if you have no intention of ever using it. I purchased the most recent Roku streaming box to take advantage of 4K on apps such as Netflix, FuboTV, and Disney+. I expected the process to be easy. You turn on the box, sync the remote, then maybe enter a link code at most. Wrong! In order to use your new purchase, you have to go through Roku's "newer process." In this process, you are emailed an activation link, which walks you through several prompts. One of those prompts is a "Payment setup" page. This page is mandatory, and there is no way to skip over it. Clearly, I think this is bullcrap! Roku doesn't need my credit card information! I only intend to use the box for the 4K feature and the app-rich library it contains. Forcing you to surrender over your credit card information for absolutely no reason is downright invasive and draconian! It is clear to me that Anthony Wood and team Roku has joined the ranks of Silicon Valley Satanists. Today, Roku loses this customer as I intend to purge my house of all Roku products and tell all my family, friends, and acquaintances to stay clear of all Roku products!
