First and foremost, there are no quotation marks in this book. You have to figure out the dialogue, because the editor and author totally dropped the ball. It took me twice as long to read this book because of rereading paragraphs of dialogue. This drove me crazy. If not for the book being chosen for my book club, I would not have read it. Speaking of book club. Of the 16 women that attended, 14 did not like the book. There is basically two characters, not a lot happening, not a lot of character development. It was slow, boring reading. Cannot understand the award or all the stellar reviews. It just was not that good and I would not recommend it to anyone. The subject may be important, but a news article/short story might suffice.
