After using this humidifier a couple of months, it stopped working! It turns on at random times during the day and sometimes there is no water in it so I can't imagine that is good for the mechanical pieces. Now it won't turn on at all. The light indicator is so bright that it lights up my bedroom at night. I've had it turn on randomly in the middle of the night and the "turn on" noise is so loud, it woke me up! I would not recommend this to anyone! Very disappointed and upset for wasting $40 only to buy another one a couple of months later.
