I received this item a few days before Christmas and was super excited to have it. I showed it to all my family members and every one was impressed with the size and ease of use. I wake up this morning, it's 18 degrees out and my wife's truck battery is dead. Truck and battery are three years old. She doesn't drive far to work and the truck has been sitting for a few days so this isn't unexpected. I was super excited to try my new gadget that I had raved to everyone about. I hook it up and jump in the truck and click click click click beep beep beep beep. It won't friggin start. Disconnect and wait a minute and same thing beep beep beep. Not sure if it is defective or just not strong enough to start a f150 but it is being returned tomorrow morning for a refund and I will look for something else. It's a good thing we were at home to try it out and not in some dark parking lot. Edit: april 13 2021. In march the seller contacted me about removing my review. They said that there was no way that the unit was a dud. User error was implied. They offered me $20 in an amazon gift card. After some back and forth I was able to get them up to $40. Needless to say I didn't accept the offer. Beware of all the positive reviews and let's hope amazon doesn't become like WISH.
