I use Activated Charcoal for teeth whitening, facial masks and the occasional upset stomach, all the time. I tried this brand, because my regular brand "Anthony 's" is sold out everywhere; and also based my decision on the awesome product reviews. To be clear, I've also used other brands of Activated Charcoal as well, purchased from actual stores, that were actually Activated Charcoal. All of those other brands were consistent in the formulation of actual Activated Charcoal. My point is, this product does not "seem" like actual Activated Charcoal. It has an after taste, like ashes... which shouldn't be. And, it also smells like sulfur or "rotten eggs" once ran under water. Activated Charcoal should not smell or taste like anything. The texture of this brand is also very, very fine...almost like dust, maybe, it's those coconuts they claimed to be using that makes the difference. But, regular Activated Charcoal has a bit more grit and weight to it. My experience with this brand has not been good. I do not recommend this brand as a reputable maker of actual "Activated Charcoal".
