I think the photos speak for themselves - they were taken the very same day I received them. I understood all the negative feedback about them not protecting the table due to liquid spills but I thought that the "Heat-resistant material to 300° F" would be able to protect the table from the microwaved bowl of pasta that I carried to the table with bare hands and ate out of (so I know it was nowhere near 300°). The bowl left noticeable indented rings on the placemat - meaning their appearance won't hold up past Day 1. And, clearly, ruined my table. I had been using cloth placemats until this point but, with the new puppy deciding they were very tasty, thought I'd switch to something less appetizing. I've never had this issue with cloth mats. I am SUPREMELY disappointed in this product and very sad for my table. I will be returning them. And for the record - they are not even in the realm of being non-slip.
