In this day and age, with so choices to make, product reliability and customer service ranks right up there. Apparently MaxxAir and their parent company Airxcel don't' give a crap beyond the PR of the initial sale.of their products. I bought a 12v RV roof top exhaust fan (and cover, which didn't work either!) and installed it. It worked intermittently so I called the customer "service" line. Numerous times. Many times, the call just disconnected. I NEVER got through to an actual person. The Autobot on their end kept saying stay on the line - if you are a qualified mechanic - otherwise go online for help. That didn't work either. If you are looking to buy something that you want to have years of good service from the unit AND THE COMPANY.... DON'T BUY A MAXXAIR fan! As a further note, I called the Dometic/Atwood/Fantastic fan customer service people BEFORE I even ordered a replacement for the Maxxair, and got a hold of them RIGHT AWAY (Ist try). Even though I hadn't even bought their fan yet, they tried to help me debug what my possible issue was with my camper electrical system. Now that is SERVICE!
