ATTN TECHS: Save your money...
I'm a tech for highline European cars so, cleanliness and presentability are extremely important. The uniform company we use doesn't seem to be able to get my shirts very clean but, plus side, they can starch the Hell out of them. I don't really like wearing cardboard so I choose to launder my own.
When I came across this product I was excited and hopeful. Finally, something "truly designed/made for automotive tech uniforms". So, without hesitation I placed my order and then waited.
Package arrived Friday, December 22 2017. I had it delivered to my work.
Anyway, got home and wanted to test this stuff out. Gathered up my uniform shirts and started to the washer. Read the instructions on the bottle to make sure settings were right on the washer and there was nothing extra or special I needed to do.
Started the washer and let it go.
Once finished I took the shirts out and gave them a "once over". Much to my surprise my shirts, while smelling nice and citrus-like, we're still dirty.
Hmm, maybe the crud I have on my shirts is so strong it needs to be pre-treated? OK, I can handle that.
Took the detergent and an ironing board and one shirt at a time dipped my brush into the detergent then scrubbed the heavily soiled areas. Tossed them back into the washer and started round 2.
Cycle finished and once again looked over the shirts. Surprised again. No noticeable difference in the cleanliness.
Hmm, maybe I should pretreat them and then let them sit for a bit before washing them. You know, let all those fancy chemicals and enzymes, oxygenate and perform their magic!
So again, I went through the "brush dipping and scrubbing" dance. Let the shirts sit and do their thing in the laundry basket. Then about an hour later, tossed them back in the washer for round 3.
Load finished, so I started my inspections. Again, aside from smelling of citrus, no noticeable difference in the cleanliness of the shirts.
How can something claim to be made for a field in which the techs tend to get dirty, yet not do the one thing it claims to do?
Total waste of money in my opinion because, this doesn't seem to do any more than regular detergent, yet costs almost twice as much for half the amount.
Only reason I gave 2 stars is because I love the smell of citrus!!
