I have to say I was very excited when I first saw the FloTool 42003MI Drain Container
I have to say I was very excited when I first saw the FloTool 42003MI Drain Container. no more using whatever for a catch pan then spilling the oil while trying to pour it into an old gallon jug. So tonight I used it for the first time. I was changing the oil hot (is there any other way) so I dropped the drain plug into the container, finished draining the engine, pulled the drain container out and wiped it clean. the drain plug was sitting right in one of the holes where the oil drains into the container. Fantastic, so much better than the old way of fishing around in hot oil. I sealed up the drain container. Closed the vent (no issues like some reviewers) and set the container on the side standing upright. Now here's where it went wrong. as I was picking up I noticed oil under the container, but figured I must not have wiped it clean enough. So I wiped off the bottom and set in on the side. After cleaning up the small oil spill, I picked op the container and once again there was oil under it. Long story short....there was a small hole next to one of the feet. the plastic is sooo thin here I'm surprised it the feet didn't collapse into the container. Oh, well, I guess you get what you pay for. I will not try to exchange it and I do not recommend it.
