Tough to leave a rating...had to fix, but otherwise love it...
We luckily thought of a bidet before the mad rush (Coronavirus 2020!!!). Got this quick and set it up. It works great. Five days later, I got up in the middle of the night, in dark, and stepped on a soaking toilet rug. It was leaking. This could've been a complete disaster. Turned off water, disconnected cause I had to get to work in a few hours and still tired. I chatted with BioBidet and they concluded they would send a replacement unit, but their warehouse is completely emptied from the pandemic and no estimate of arrival (and sold out on Amazon). Next day I was able to remove the small cover over the valve and then hook it back up to investigate. I suspected a leak from the outlets with the ring seals, but it turned out to be from the top. There is a metal plate that holds down the valve cartridge. That valve cartridge has one rubber O-Ring that needs to stay set down in the cylinder or it's gonna leak. I saw the o-ring has been forced out. We do have good/strong water pressure, so I re-set the o-ring, set the plate down, and hooked it all back up. I limited the source flow. It worked for an hour or two, but then started leaking again. So, I took it apart again. This time, I had some extra rings (Harbor Freight o-ring assortment). I added one to the lower groove on the cartridge, then added another just laying and the top to allow better compression from the metal plate (this will keep the cartridge full seated, cause even with the o-ring not turned out, it was sitting too high in the cylinder and not sealing fully against the walls). With both rings plus a rubber washer at top, it seats much better in the cylinder. I hooked it all back up and tested with lower pressure again. It's been good for two days now. I am considering a limited flow attachment from the 'T' so I don't have to limit flow to toilet. But also, I have been able to increase the pressure and it still has not leaked. Gonna keep checking, obviously. But it looks like basic design flaw and I don't see how it could just be mine. If it didn't leak, I would rate this 5 stars as for the price, it's more than perfect. For $28, it doesn't matter how great it is if it's gonna ruin your upstairs subfloor!!! I don't think I'd trust it without modifications, so I'm putting this here as a warning. 1 STAR so people will look. 5 STARS if you fix it and it never leaks again. I think it is wise to get a bidet (lid type) that would leak into the toilet bowl if it ever leaks, instead of these type that hook up by the side. It's just a disaster waiting to happen. But we can't buy toilet paper, and there are no bidets right now, so ya gotta do what you gotta do. All this said, bidets are great. America is stupid for not using them. And I'm stupid for not having one before (I've liked them since living in Argentina years ago, but just didn't invest). Easy to install. Comfortable. Easy to use. Family loves it. But the house, people! The house!!!
