This popcorn machine gets a little wild spewing out unpopped kernels at the start and at the end of a popping cycle. Not a deal breaker. That said, It does seem to pop the corn quickly but I have yet to find a popcorn that tastes good after popping using this machine. The hulls are tough and the popcorn has no crunch. I know the popcorn is ok because I popped some using the old fashioned stovetop method using oil and it was delicious. I used Franklins Popcorn, Wisconsin Birch and Jiffy Pop jumbo pop. The Jiffy pop was the worst, Wisconsin Birch was the best. Based on my experience, I would say that for whatever reason, the average popcorn does not taste good or have the proper texture after popping in this machine. Perhaps one needs to use a special popcorn. Surprised at my experience when so many people raved about this machine. I am going to try Orvilles popcorn and if that is good, I will change this review.
