We purchased this after our previous Childs seat broke since my husband thought this one would last longer. The prior had a soft close on all elements which is very nice for little hands, and this one does not. My main issue is that this seat is DANGEROUS. 3 times now my daughter has pinched her poor legs or behind scooting up into the seat. This never once happened on the last model. I believe this is because the plastic of the child's portion is too flimsy? It doesn't sit flush when placed in down position (again the soft close would help here to Make sure it was down all the way) and then when she places Her weight on it, it pinches. This seat has now made her scared of her toilet!!
