This isn't our first heated mattress pad. We have used them for decades. This one is the first of this type (low voltage) and was purchased to replace our last that failed after many years of use. To our surprise when we opened the package we found a pink sticker on the pad that stated "..."It will NOT feel warm to the touch of your hand, even on HI." Interesting. That information was not in the online product description. All of our previous heated mattress pads nicely warmed the bed before we got in it and that's why we have one. No cold sheets. We figured we'd try this one to see what happens. Well, we don't know if both sides don't work or what, but it hardly warms the bed at all. Even in the HI position. It's going back. We don't recommend this heated mattress pad if you want to heat the bed up so it's warm to the touch before getting in it.
