I bought these to use for face and make up. I see where all the positive reviews are for E-cig use but I bought them for what is advertised as the intended purpose. They are soft. They do have small flecks of black showing the cotton is unbleached. That is all the good I can say about them. They fall apart even before getting wet. Totally useless to remove makeup or apply oil. The cotton gets everywhere including eyes! I would return them but they are not eligible for return. I do not leave negative feedback carelessly. I really dislike these! Don't buy them to use as a makeup puff!
