This may be the MOST disappointing computer/electronics product I've ever purchased. Set up was confusing regardless of which of two sets of instructions you read, and when you finally got the product "working" you could locate the extender literally within ten feet of the router, which it then could not consistently find. Don't be fooled when the two bands appear to be working because when you go back to actually USE the device the faster speed band will drop out, never to be regained. NETGEAR support is essentially "Look online, because we don't actually talk to customers." Any product which refers you to an app for installation and then a YouTube video for further information has clearly NOT come up with a user-friendly installation.
