Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I've now had three of these. The first I purchased in the UK when I lived there...it was great. The second I purchased when I first moved to CA....it was ok (but not as good as the one I had in the UK....seemed to take an awful long time to toast....lower voltage perhaps??). The last unit I purchased about 2 years ago when the second one finally went kaput after 6-7 years of use. Now - I have the say the one I have currently is awful. Once again it takes ages to brown the toast, plus it toasts very unevenly and after just 2 years it has stopped working completely. These things are definitely over-rated. It is also very unclear to me how Amazon is able to give it an average rating of 4.2 stars based on the feedback shown. If you do the math (and I have done the math!) then the average feedback is actually 3.2 stars. It stands to reason if 25% of the feedback is one star that the average cannot possibly be higher than 4 even if the other 75% of people gave it 5 stars (which they did not!!)
