I am skeptical
I agree with the information I can corroborate from other doctors and sources such as a Raw Food Diet (BARF) and minimal vaccinations and drugs. However, I am very skeptical about many of Dr Goldstein's other claims about his successes treating very serious conditions and diseases with herbs, flowers and homeopathy.
Dr Goldstein praises L Ron Hubbard (he is a member of WISE, thus I presume he is a Scientologist) and Hubbard was a seller of snake oil, a complete fraudster, a total BS artist to be blunt.
I fear some of Hubbard's "magical thinking" rubbed off on Dr Goldstein as he told his stories to his ghost writer from Vanity Fair.
At the very least, published in 1999, this book is dated.
I doubt there is a single holistic vet in 2014 that treats respiratory issues with Ma Huang (Ephedra) today, but in 1999 it was "miracle herb" and Dr Goldstein praises it in this book.
I personally read this book and threw it away.
I will stick with Dr Pitcairn when it come to advice on treating my pet holistically.
