Unsafe storage; humidity & bugs can easily get in. The lids don't latch well, and there's a huge amount of play between the lid & the long side of the box. I have larger Sterilites which are great for old books & LP records; tight latch, tight lid. These smaller ones measure big enough for LPs, so I figured they would do too. Wrong. Plastic bits project downward from the lid, so storing LPs vertically takes some juggling, & you can't store nearly as many as the size of the box implies. And with the lid flopping loose on the long side of the box, you always worry about vermin or mildew. We won't send these boxes back, because it's not worth the trouble and we can probably find some trivial use for them, but they are a major failure as far as delivering secure storage.
