Like many other reviews here have said, this is generally a good Blu Ray player and streamer. BUT, and this is a deal breaker for me, it now uses Sony's Cinavia copy protection scheme, which negates the value of many of the streaming capabilities. This stops you from making legal rips of the movies you own, storing them on a hard drive, and streaming them to the player. You can't even make backup copies of discs to play, which is critical for kids videos when you have little ones. Sony apparently prefers you just buy a new copy everytime a disc gets a scratch. Most new movies have the Cinavia audio watermarking and the inconvenience just keeps getting worse as Sony pushes other DVD player manufacturers to adopt the technology. I'm taking this unit back because of this and will not be buying any more Sony products until they begin respecting fair use rights.
