Bought solely for the single player campaign and being an Imperial
Multiplayer is ok, but can get frustrating if you are just starting out. Doesn't help to know folks spent a lot of money to 'buy' their better stuff in the game. I know micro transactions are currently turned off, but it's still not an even playing field. Going to take me forever to grind out any of the good unlocks, which probably won't happen honestly. Also, the actual length of the maps is too short IMHO. I felt the first SWBF map lengths were good. These just seem to fly by too fast. Now, for the actual campaign. This is the biggest disappointment. I bought this game because I wanted a good Imperial story line and single player campaign. SPOILER(s): What is frustrating is that EA made it look like you were going to play an Inferno Squad campaign and had an epic campaign story line for that. They sure did advertise it that way (false advertising??). It's unreal that first, the entire campaign is about 4 hours in length... you can play through it easily in one afternoon. Second, it's ridiculous that someone so deep as this Imperial, Iden, (especially if you read the book) does the stupid, cliche thing of switching. It's just really dumb, and really breaks the game for me. She grew up an Imperial. She worked her whole life to have her dad's respect. Reading the book you can see she just wants to be the best... even threw all she went through, ie. Death Star blowing up, losing a member of her squad, etc... She just wants to be the best leader she can be. So, why can't we just have a good, strong, Imperial campaign? Why, when we do get to be an Imperial, do we end up being traitors, lol? Does every Imperial defect? No - TIE Fighter had a great Imperial story line. Didn't need to defect there. We don't need more Finn's and now Iden's. Yes, the graphics and sound is great. But in 2017 with Disney owning this IP and the fallout from the first SWBF, I thought this was going to be a top notch, in-depth Imperial campaign. I didn't think you were going to play a few missions, then play as some other named characters, then it all be over an you be a pathetic rebel. I just feel ripped off and quite sad. Even if they do add DLC, will I now be a rebel? They really can't fix this so not sure I care where this game goes from here. I guess let it tank? I'd say I'd wait for the next one, but really, we need someone else who is willing to be cutting edge and do what TIE Fighter did and let you be the actual Empire (or First Order). Lastly, I hate the ship controls. The set up I want isn't there so I have a terrible time flying. I want the right stick up/down inverted but the right, left to actually go right and left and not just spin on the axis. I am not good using both sticks flying. Ugh.
