The batter is recommended based on Amazon's product to purchase when purchasing a trolling motor. You need a 12v Deep Cycle Marine Batter between 75-125 Amps per hour. The higher the better. It will work for 20-30 minutes then run out and you'll be forced to paddle back in from the middle of a lake as I did. Please don't make the same mistake I did, because this product can't be returned.
