It slides around. I measured my carpet using the paperclip method. It's under .5 inches, which is a low-medium pile. This mat was supposed to work for that. The mat is very thin compared to vinyl. That itself isn't a problem. But it's so flimsy the corners flip up when standing on it. I think this causes more movement. Over a few days, the mat lifts and moves until the corners end up ON TOP of my desk foot. So I tucked a corner under my desk, but the back half continues to move. Every few days I have to remove my chair and move it back to the right position. I was thinking about returning it, but it's a hassle. And it's a bit cheaper than other brands. I'm leaving two stars because when it's in the right position it works well.
