This book has some good advice for novice investors - mainly that they should be investing. And it goes on to say that index funds are a good investment vehicle for most people. Agreed. And I've liked Tony Robbins' materials in the past; Power Talk II specifically. But I think Mr. Robbins has changed since those early, eager, idealistic, hopeful days. Now he seems more like an infomercial salesman to me. He's pitching the Creative Planning company and strongly suggesting his readers use that company for their financial planning. I signed up for their services, and they lost $25,000 of my money in two weeks. Granted, there was a market downturn, but their investment choices have not bounced back as quickly as the market itself. I fired Creative and am now investing in index funds at Vanguard. I wish I'd saved the money I spent on the book, and especially on hiring this firm - who by the way, still gets paid even when they fail miserably. Invest on your own and don't listen to Tony Robbins anymore - unless you go for the old Tony Robbins stuff when he was still for real.
