Weak metal bends under pressure! I only used garlic on this press and not long after the two sides weren’t lining up because the metal was bending, warping, and coming apart at the seams. I’m not some body builder with rock hard grip. But I am a mom, so likely comparable strength. I mean, I could probably look at a garlic clove like I look at my child who’s about to get a timeout threat, and that garlic clove would just crumble with one flash of my Mona Lisa-stare-down. So why then even buy a garlic press, you ask. Well, because I really don’t want to get into an emotional shake down with every garlic clove I see. I bought this product to simplify my life, but as it turns out this product was easily defeated by less than 50 garlic cloves. Now that’s just sad.
