Long time Suncast customer, but no longer! When assembling, the hose connection area kept popping off from the water pressure. Unlike the older models, this connection is now plastic instead of metal and is cheapo. Contacted Suncast and explained my problem. Very pleasant young lady said "no problem, we'll get a replacement right out to you". About a week later, I received an envelope with a new connector.....not the new hose assembly as I'd expected. Now, beyond the fact that I'm expected to repair this "new" product, there are other issues. I'm 65 and disabled and will have to hire someone to "fix" my "new" hose reel. Even at that, the part came with NO instructions at all and the reel assembly must be removed completely in order to replace the part. Not sure how to do that without damaging my "new" reel, but that is my only option. Called Suncast back. I first apologized to the young lady for my anger, and to please realize that I understand that she is not to blame.....but that I was pissed off! Told her the issue and that I was just going to throw away my "new" reel because it would cost me as much to hire someone to repair it as it cost to buy. And at that, because of the plastic vs metal parts, there was no guarantee it would perform as expected. VERY dissapointed and no longer a Suncast customer.
