I think Shirleen Davies is a good writer but I simply didn't like the hero, story, or really much about this book. Niall MacLaren was a man that slept with the town Madam, was using a lady for her connections, and treated the heroine like crap. There simply wasn't anything noble or likable about him. Katherine was okay but her character wasn't really developed and I think that she was too weak for my tastes. The plot was okay and so were the characters - not impressed.
