It is with the heaviest heart that I write this review. I am absolutely devastated with what has happened in this book and I have never wished to have never read a book before. What I can say about this book is that I am so incredible disappointed in the story line. The amount of angst that went through this book from chapter 1 until the epilogue was just way too much for me. I feel like it's important to let people know that there is other man and the woman drama for most of this book, and the only reason I am saying anything is because it is something that really hurts my heart. There is really only one part of this book that is truly beautiful and touched my heart, is the prologue. Even the epilogue hurt my heart after all my soul had been through that massacre. Something that I did enjoy with this book was seeing Luna grow as a woman, seeing how she matures and really grows into herself. I loved seeing her confidence and when she was faced with hard decisions she did what she thought was best, but even some of that was tainted unnecessarily. I want to be able to say that there is a HEA but after reading this book I feel like this could just be a happily for now and that just doesn't sit well with me. Maybe I am just too sensitive to enjoy this book, and I know there have been many 5 star reviews but I couldn't do that, it turned out to just not be the kind of book I enjoy. I have enjoyed many of Leigh's works in the past but I can say that after all the unnecessary drama and heart ache from this one I'm not sure I will enjoy many if any of her future works.
