I wanted to love it because it makes cold brew in 20 minutes HOWEVER the benefit of this being a quick option for cold brew vs the 12-24 hour brew method which I do and love just isn’t there. First off, the water has to be ROOM TEMP, almost warm, and if you are like me with a filtered refrigerator, the water you use will be cold. If I need to pour the water in the jug and let it get to room temp, then I would need to plan an hour ahead for this. Ok, even doing so, I ran my cold brew through twice on extra bold and the flavor is not there and it is pretty weak/watery tasting. I did less water than called for and probably a little more coarse ground coffee than it called for. Lastly, there are too many pieces with this unit and taking it off is sloppy and there’s no way to fully clean the inside of the machine (kindof same problem as with a keurig of that mildewy taste forming from all the crap inside the machine you can’t clean). All and all, for $70 the benefit isn’t there because I still have to plan an hour at least ahead and the brew just isn’t to the taste I want. I’ll stick with the tried and true slow cold brew method.
