I bough these based on other user reviews, here is my opinion. First, I love the look. The seat seems to be made made as well as can be expected for a "Made in China" product. The mechanism that allows the seat to rise and fall, and spin seems sturdy enough, but that is where the engineering stopped. The two critical areas for me are the base, and the tube with the attached foot rest. Both of these re very flimsy material....for a pub chair. In a real pub, these chairs would be lucky to last a week. However, in my man cave, they won't get nearly that much use, so I hope to at least get a few years out of them. A few changes in engineering and materials could make these chairs great. The way they are, they aren't. Have had these for a few weeks now. No one likes them. In fact, people avoid sitting in them because they are not stable. Too late to send them back, so I am looking at replacing the base with something more sturdy. If you weigh more than about 100 pounds, I would stay away from these, they will not suit you.
