I bought this for my parents' bathtub because I don't want them to slip in the shower. I gave it a test run myself and realized it is actually terrible for that purpose. The issue is that at every intersection of the holes of the mat, the material is a smooth, plastic shape (picture attached). When the water is running on it and I put my heel or the side of my foot and move it across the mat (which I believe is how most slips/falls would happen), it glides easily. This makes it completely useless AND even dangerous. I really don't understand how this product can have such high reviews when it fails to do the one thing it is intended for. If you are looking for a bath mat that is grippy on the feet to prevent slips and falls, please DO NOT BUY this product.
