I bought this to be safe and the alarm sounded immediately upon plugging it in. Loud siren said to evacuate my house! Wow, what a shock. Tried it in multiple rooms. Can you imagine?! The reading showed toxic levels in my house. Hours to live. After the initial shock, I called the gas company to come out as an emergency visit and in full gear and masks, they showed a ZERO reading. This product showed a fatal reading. It was a defective product and a complete waste of time, energy and emotion. Wished I wouldn't have ordered this particular item. Always good to check carbon monoxide levels, of course, but the last thing you want is a false alarm. Please test your products before mailing.
