We used to love this baby monitor and recommended it to several friends. I'm now regretting that. After only one year of regular use, the battery has stopped charging properly. Even when the monitor is plugged in (and yes, plugged in correctly!), the monitor keeps randomly dying and shutting off. It takes several attempts to turn it back on again without it shutting back off. When this happens, it shows that the battery is dead, but how could that be when it's plugged in? We even purchased a new battery thinking that was the problem, but it's still doing the same thing. Obviously, something is faulty with the monitor itself. I see several other reviews mentioning this same issue after a year or two of use. That is very disappointing considering the cost of this product. I expected it to last for years and wasn't planning on having to purchase an additional baby monitor. Now that the monitor keeps randomly shutting off, even while plugged in, I have anxiety about sleeping at night. The monitor shuts off almost every night in the middle of the night, and we don't always wake up right away to notice. That completely defeats the purpose of the monitor and being able to make sure our son is okay. I am very frustrated that this monitor no longer works properly after only one year. I thought it was great until this happened!
