The meal is absolutely outstanding by freeze dried standards. It was delicious. Really appetizing cooking...however... we will never be able to make this again. Took this camping... and we are still airing out our tent almost 2 weeks later. This won't give you regular chili stench. This will give you some serious eye watering reek for almost 3 days. I swear it stained my intestinal walls with the smell that all those days later...and many poops later... it was still coming out smelling like chile mac night... We had to take our bedding to the laundry mat to wash it before bringing it home because it smelled so horrid. The smell stays. I can still smell that night. I don't know what makes this chile mac any different from any other I've had, but something happens in the process to produce THE worst stench your body could never have imagined. Skip the ashblast and just pick something else....unless you really hate the person you're staying with. Then eat away...because the food is actually really good.
