First, the battery is fantastic. Mikita is quite skilled at battery technology and electric motors. But, the plastic housing on this product is horrible. Had this since Dec 2018 and I've resorted to using duck tape already. That's right, duck tape. The plastice opening to connect the vac to the nozzle is 60% broken off, and the housing for the filter is cracked and on its way to breaking apart. For reference, I use this two or three times a week. And, I'm old enough, and smart enough not to abuse my tools. If I invest this much money in a product I expect it to last at least 2 years before breaking out the duck tape. This vac should come with a roll of duck tape and instructions as to how to apply.
