I really like the mason jar and the idea of using it to hold hand soap, but I'm really disappointed with the dispenser. I used this for about a month or so when my soap became extremely watered down somehow. At first I was puzzled, since I hadn't removed the top to refill the hand soap at all. How could this have happened? Turns out the dispenser leaks water into the soap being held in the jar. So if you rinse your hands off with water before applying soap, when you press the plunger in with wet hands, the water from your hands slowly drips through the dispenser into the soap, creating a runny, watery handsoap that doesn't clean well after you use it for an extensive period of time. If you look at the dispenser you can actually see water slowly dripping into the soap. Again, I love the glass jar, but the dispenser is very low quality. Perhaps instead of this product, look into buying a mason jar with a dispenser of a better quality that fits it.
