Updated- summer 2019 reviews are fake.
the seller contacted me and asked me to change my review. I didn't. Then comes the "new top reviews" on the shears each with exactly 30 or 31 helpful votes...guys, scam. Run.*
Not sharp. Very dull. I think these "professional" hair stylists are fake reviews. I'll explain more below.
I cut hair for ten years. I had a pair of Wolff thinners that I bought ten years ago that were $30-40. They were German steel. (You always want German/Japanese steel.. if you are a professional.)
I bought these for home use. They are Dull. Dull. They almost bend hair. I have a pair of Exacto scissors at home that are sharper.
To prove a point (don't do this if you have REAL expensive shears) you should be able to leave your shears open and run a tissue through it against the blade and it cuts in half without even closing your shears.
If you put a tissue through these, nothing happens. If you try cutting the tissue it doesn't make a straight cut.
Also, if your thumb accidentally grazes the blade of a shear you shouldn't feel it. It should be bleeding without you noticing because it's so sharp. You can press your finger against these... nothing.
In summary, if a "professional" comes to you with these shears, I'd find another stylist.
